Fish have evolved from  invertebrate chordates to have adaptions that allow them to live their entire lives in the water. They breath through gills, absorbing oxygen from the water, and lay soft eggs. Amphibians, like the fish, are cold blooded and lay soft eggs in the water. Unlike the fish, Amphibians only spend part of their lives in the water, but always live near it to keep their skin from drying out. Amphibians also breathe through their skin istead of through gills. Reptiles have adapted to living and laying eggs on land. They are coveredin scales and breath with lungs. Birds have an adaption that makes some of their bones hollow so they are light enough to fly. They are warm blooded and parents incubate their eggs until they hatch. Mammals have hair and are warm blooded. They all feed their babies with milk that they produce.
